Even though this point makes sense to some extent, it is common knowledge to all of us that if you deprive your body of certain foods, you may develop a sense of deprivation.

But this misconception can be attributed to the fact that many people lack the understanding that low-carb diet in most cases works and that it is essential when it comes to the weight loss process. But the truth of the matter is that it is not hard to stick to a low-carb diet. The diet is essential in reducing the hunger levels that one can experience hence the less need for one to consume more food.

Exclusion of essential food groups

Another false allegation is that, when you consume low carb diets, you do not consume food groups that are termed as being essential to the body. Even though it is a fact that if you want to experience the full benefits of a low carb diet, you must remove some items from your regular diet,

Some of the foods that you will have to do away with include candies, legumes, grains, soft drinks that are sugary and those foods that have a high carb percentage.

But you need not worry too much about this foods because in the first place you do not need them in your diet. Through evolution, man did not have access to some of these nutrients, and thus you won’t lose a lot by avoiding them. One thing is true; grains are not a must in your diet as the nutrients that they provide can be obtained by a host of other foods.

It causes ketosis

Another falsehood is that when one is on low- carb diets, there is a possibility that they will eventually go into a state that is known as ketosis that is harmful in the long run. This is a complete lie if you have the slightest of chemistry knowledge.
